ILAURI Tavo Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC 2022 (VEGAN)
Description
The famous Pinot Grigio grape has been known since the Middle Ages in the Burgundy region and comes from a mutation of Pinot Noir buds.
Our superb plot is located in the northeastern Veneto region, home to Italy’s most popular white wine. The name comes from one of the most important rivers in our region, which originates at almost 2,000 meters above sea level at the foot of the Gran Sasso.
After fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature, the wine rests for 2 months before bottling.
Its silky texture is smooth and extremely elegant with delicate tones of melon, orange blossom and mango.
GRAPE VARIETY: Pinot Grigio (100%)
SOIL: Rocky, structured and drained. Limestone. Altitude: 300 mt. above sea level.
VINIFICATION: After a careful selection of the grapes at the end of August, the grape stalks are removed and a short cold maceration of the crushed grapes in stainless steel is applied. Subsequently, a soft pressing takes place followed by alcoholic fermentation with selected yeast for 10 days to preserve the 100% natural Pinot Grigio fruit and the inimitable freshness of the wine.
COLOR: Pale straw with light green hues.
NOSE: Intense bouquet of white fruits, including ripe golden apples and pearsscheda.
PALATE: On the palate, refreshing notes of apple and peach end with a soft acidity. A round, slightly floral wine, with a fullness and spice that brings a lot of appeal.
TOTAL PRODUCTION: 120,000 bottles
