Michel Chapoutier Pinteivera White Douro 2017

Description

In 2009, Michel Chapoutier sees a plot of land in the Douro valley. A small plot, very small, with 3 hectares, but full of promise: Eleivera.
Here, winters are harsh, summers are hot and dry. To obtain sufficient income, Michel Chapoutier finds local producers and partners with them, growing the touriga nacional, a typical Portuguese variety.
From there, Pinteivera and Eleivera were born, two representatives of this region classified as World Heritage Sites by Unesco.

Color : pale yellow with golden tones and full of shine.
Nose : complex and espresso, with notes of fruit (apricot, citrus), floral (acacia), honey and vanilla.

Mouth : generous and fresh at the same time, the wine presents itself with a wide attack, ending with a beautiful minerality and floral aromas.

Soil : Old vines (60-80 years) from Cima Corgo. Soil composed of more or less deep granite arenas. Granite basement leveled in places. Slopes exposed to the east or northwest to preserve aromatic freshness and acidity. Summers are dry and hot and winters are cool and wet.

With this wine we like: Mediterranean appetizers, fish and seafood.
Tasting temperature: 12°C.
